Various platforms have unique rules for listing duration. Here's the breakdown of them:
eBay — choose how long to post for or
Good ’Til Canceled Listings (will be relisted automatically every month until sold)
Amazon — listings are kept forever until ended by seller. But Amazon adjusts prices, so for no surprises, adjust the min and max prices.
Etsy — 4 months, lets you autorenew or not
Shopify — no expiration by default
Walmart — sellers decide the mandatory expiration date (can be multiple decades long)
WooCommerce — no expiration by default, sellers can't set it
BigCommerce — no expiration by default, sellers can't set it
