Tools for scanning eBay listings for active content

Modified on Thu, 26 Mar 2020 at 11:29 PM

eBay introduced the Active Content Policy (NAC) and the Browser Security Standards back in 2017. Failure to comply with the policies results in listing being suppressed by eBay. "Click to see full description" button appears in the listing, while leaving the description hidden.

There are multiple 3rd party scanning tools, checking if listings comply with eBay NAC policies :

        1. http://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/ActiveContentSandbox.htm - add single or multiple eBay Item IDs or even description with HTML.After scanning, violating assets and links will be highlighted.

        2. https://bulkchecker.i-ways.net/ebay/en-us - scan single or multiple eBay item IDs. Alternatively, provide access to an eBay account for a full scan, or upload a .csv file with the eBay Item IDs.
