The Etsy Attributes Mappings is an important time-saving instrument in Valigara. During the Etsy post, it automatically fills the Etsy attributes for each Etsy listing individually, based on an existing product value or a fixed value, defined in Mappings. This allows posting multiple products, each one having unique parameters, together, in 1 Mass Post process.
Each Etsy category can have it's own mapping, relevant to the specific type of the products.
1. Adding a new category
- go to Etsy Settings page
- enter account settings -> Attribute Mappings tab
click Add category
- in the Categories pop-up, select the Etsy category from the categories tree. Make sure to select last subcategory level.
- click Yes to see the applicable category fields, and Save at the bottom of the settings page
2. Set up the mapping
expand the category and see the related Etsy fields on the left side
- next to each Etsy category field there are four mapping options:
- Automatic - the predefined mapping, created by Valigara team
- Skip - skip sending any values to Etsy for the specific field
- System field - select an existing Valigara field that contains the product information
- Etsy Value - select a fixed value from the Etsy list, to be used in all products
Example mapping:
- Recycled: Etsy Value -> No - sends No for Recycled attribute for all products
- Chain style: System Field -> eBay Style - sends value from eBay Style field to Etsy Style attribute
- Number of strands: Skip - does not send any value for Number of strands attribute
3. Update existing mappings
- go to Etsy Settings page
- enter account settings -> Attribute Mappings tab
- Use the "Expand" button to see existing mappings
- Make required changes and click Save
