Mapping the WooCommerce attributes

After the WooCommerce website is connected, Valigara automatically fetches the list of existing WooCommerce attributes.

WooCommerce Mappings defines how Valigara fills the WooCommerce attributes, while posting the products. 

• Go to WooCommerce settings 
• Enter the Account settings -> Mappings tab
• Select the fields to fill the WooCommerce attributes
• 
  

The available options are:

• Automatic - the predefined mapping, created by Valigara team
• Skip - do not fill the Attribute
• System field - select an existing Valigara field that contains the product information
• As defined - specify a fixed value to be used in all products

For different types of products, you might prefer filling the attributes differently. For this, define more than one attribute set mapping:

• Click the "Add attribute set" button
• define the Condition - for which products the specific Attribute mapping will be used
  • f.i. create a specific attribute set for products type "Earrings", eBay style "Hoop" and Gemstone 1 type "Garnet"

• Define the mapping for the products matching the Condition

There are 2 types of product attributes in WooCommerce: Global and Custom. Global attributes are used in multiple products, while Local attributes are created on the product level. Valigara fetches the Global attributes from WooComeerce, while Local (custom) attributes are not fetched. Mappings work according to the WooCommecre Attribute type.  If the WooCommecre Attribute type is Select, Valigara allows selecting only Valigara's fields of type Select. If the Attribute type is String, - Valigara's fields of type String can be selected, etc. This avoids the situation when the wrong type of field is populated into WooCommerce (f.i. String field into Numeric field).
