Product classes in Valigara

Product/Model Classes allow to store the correct information in the products according to their type.  Setting right Class allows correctly post products to sales channels. 

Class is defined for each model, and is required field. 


There are 3 classes of products in Valigara:

  1. Jewelry (Basic)
    • A jewelry setting (casting). Might include loose gemstones.
    • Example: Ruby and Diamonds Earrings, Platinum Band, Diamonds Engagement Ring, White and Yellow Gold Pendant,
  2. Component
    • Assembly part of jewelry. 
    • Similar product structure to Jewelry class. 
    • Product created by combining Components is of Set class.
    • Example: clasp, closure, chain, semi-mount ring.
  3. Loose
    • Matches products which include unset gemstones only
    • Supports single gemstones, gemstone pairs, parcels, etc
    • Example: Loose Ruby, Pair of Diamonds, Parcel of 20 amethysts
  4. Set
    • Combination of other products. 
    • Can include any product classes (jewelry, loose, component, set)
    • Can automatically summarize fields values (sizes, weights etc)
    • Can relate to the stock of the included products (ex. a set can be provided only when all the products are in stock to complete the set
    • Can include Dependent fields, calculated from the values of included products
    • Example: Pendant with a chain; Bridal set of Earrings, Necklace and Bracelet; Pack of beads; Pair of toe rings
