Natively, Shopify has a limited support for editing variations through the API. Despite this fact, Valigara allows changing variations in existing products, while keeping the URL untouched. This ability is extremely important from the SEO point of view.
This includes:
- changing the structure of the variations (f.i. from variations by "Metal" to "Metal and Size")
- adding/removing new variations in existing variations structure
To propagate changes, :
- make the required adjustments in the products/Shopify variations structure
- Select the products to update
- in the Actions menu go to Shopify -> Run Integration
- Check "Re-send (overwrite) existing products" option
