Using multiple Units Of Measure

For the type Length fields, Valigara allows storing the data in multiple Units Of Measure (UOM). 

This allows sending the same data into different channels in different formats, without the need to have multiple fields in the system. F.i., the same Valigara Length field value can be sent in inches to eBay.com , millimeter to Amazon.uk , etc. 

1. Set the default UOM 

• Go to Global settings
• in General tab -> System settings -> "Default unit for Length fields", select the desired measurement unit

2. Upload different UOM to Valigara

If you upload the data into Length fields in the default UOM, there is no need to state it in the source file. To upload the data in a different UOMs:

• in the source file (Excel), enter the field value together with the UOM (MM, IN, CM, M, FT)
• in the Import/Update interface, select the type Length field as a destination
• the source file can have multiple fields, each one having a different UOMs

The UOM will be added to the destination field in Valigara.
