Printing Templates

Taking your data from digital onto paper is an important part of the day-to-day work. Whether exporting your products information (such as product certificate, product data sheet, production slip etc), or completing the required paperwork for your orders fulfillment (shipping labels, order appraisal, invoice etc), gemstones management (appraisal, memo, consignation agreement) - all this is an important aspect of the routine work.


Printing Templates are formats for printing. There are three types of printing templates: 

  • Product Print Templates - visible in the Product page, include the Product parameters
  • Gemstone Print Templates  - visible in the Gemstones page, include the Gemstone parameters  
  • Order Print Templates  - - visible in the Orders page, include the Order, Client and Order Product parameters 


Templates can be created through visual editors, or in textual (HTML programming) mode.  


Create print templates 

  • go to Global settings -> Print Templates
  • Select the type of the template to create
  • Click "Add template" to create a new template or "Edit" to update an existing one
    • Use the "Duplicate" option to create a similar template 
  • In the edit page, use the built-in visual editor to create the template
    • Add dynamic fields to the template 
    • Use the Preview option to see how the template will look like with a specific product order or gemstone


Advanced mode 

  • Set a background image for the document.
    • Upload the background image
    • Margins define how the background image is displayed on the page. 
  • Additional edit modes 
    • Text mode (advance) -, edit the template with code editor (HTML, CSS etc)
    • Visual mode (default) - edit the template in the visual WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor 


Using the template

  • go to the respective page (Products, Gemstones, Orders)
  • Select the items to print the information for
  • System action -> Print
  • Define Printing settings


After the printed document is created, it is available for download in the resulting batch
