The Sears Item Specifics Mapping optimizes and speeds up the listing process. On the Sears post, it automatically fills the Sears attributes, for each listing individually. Mapping can use an existing product value or a fixed value, defined in Mappings. This allows posting multiple products in different categories together, each one having unique parameters.
Each Sears category can have it's own mapping, relevant to the specific type of the products.
Add a category
- go to Sears settings page
- enter account settings -> Item Specifics Mappings tab
click Add category
- in the Categories pop-up, select the Sears category from the categories tree. Make sure to select last subcategory level
- click Expand to see the category fields, and Save at the bottom of the settings page
Set up item specifics mapping
Expand the category and see the Sears fields under Name
- next to each Sears category field there are four mapping options:
- Automatic - the predefined mapping, created by Valigara team
- Skip this - don't send any values to Sears for the specific field
- System field - select an existing Valigara field that contains the relevant information
- Sears Value - select a fixed value from the Sears list
Update existing mappings
- go to Sears settings page
- enter account settings -> Item Specifics Mappings tab
- click the "Expand" button next to the category to see the existing mappings
- make the required changes and click Save
Example mapping
- Gold Karat: System Filed -> Product basic - Metal 1 purity - sends existing Metal 1 purity values to Sears for Gold Karat attribute for all products
- Jewelry Disclosures: Skip -> does not send any value for Jewelry Disclosures attribute
- Earring Closure/Backing Type: Fish Hook - sends "Fish Hook" for Earring Closure/Backing Type for all products
