Media operations in Product Images page

The Product Images page provides multiple tools for bulk operations with product media. To view the list of operations, go to Catalog -> Product images > System actions

Deleting the media 

Images can be adjusted to the specific channel. Same is right about operations - these can be executed on the General level, influencing Valigara, and on the level of the specific integrated account.

Adding Media

• Add images 
  • select destination product(s)
  • specify images to upload
  • optionally, define image position (f.i. 1, 2, 3, Last)
• Add videos
  • select destination product(s)
  • choose videos to upload
    • Add Video URL - Use the link to one of  supported external hosting 
    • Upload Videos - upload the local video file.
• Add selected images duplicates existing image(s) from one product to other
  • select source image(s) by clicking thumbnails in "Images" column
  • select destination product(s)
  • run the "Add selection images" action
• Add selected videos duplicates existing video(s) from one product to other

Advanced Tools

• Copy order and visibility - copies order of product images from one sales channel to other. Use it in case of
  • there are several sets of images for different channels (white for Amazon, fashion for Etsy etc)
  • adding new channels / stores in the same channel
• Set selected images as main - Main image is first image displayed in listing gallery on sales channels. Setting main / not main images allows easier shuffling. Only main images will be taken into the first position while shuffled. 
  • select product/s 
  • click on image thumbnails in "Images" column. 
  • In pop-up select for which sales channels the selected images will be main. 
    • this feature is not enabled by default, please contact us to enable the feature
• Replace Selected Images places new images in the product while keeping the existing position 
  • click image thumbnails in "Images" column to replace
  • upload new replacement image(s)
  • run the "Replace Selected Images" action
• Shuffle Images - select image(s)to randomly set the order of the existing images. 
  • Use this when the same set of images is used in multiple products
  • Shuffling can be executed with all images, and for selected images locations (
• Flip Images - new mirrored images are added to existing images
  • Use this when a product has only few images.
• Watermarks - select the image to add or remove a watermark

Deleting the media

Deleting media is irreversible. Be sure to check twice before running this. For bulk operations, we recommend running them with few products first.  When you delete from the specific channel, the operation excludes the image from being posted to the selected channel, but the image stays in Valigara.  When you delete the image/video from General channel, the image is deleted from Valigara. This operation is irreversible!

  • leave General selected to delete images from Valigara when the operation runs. 
  • select a specific channel to delete images only from that specific channel
• Delete Selected Videos 
  • select product/s 
  • click video thumbnails in "Videos" column
  • leave General selected to delete videos from Valigara when the operation runs. 
  • select a specific channel to delete videos only from that specific channel
• Delete Similar Images - deletes identical images to the one selected. 
  • select product(s) to delete images from
  • click the image thumbnail(s) in "Images" column 
  • IMPORTANT: The operation takes into account not only the image itself, but also the date of uploading into Valigara , and other parameters. Therefore, in some cases, visually identical images won't be counted as Similar. 

How Valigara stores product images and videos? Open specific products in the Product Images page, from the Products page, using Actions menu ->Show -> Images
