How to Automate Product Stock Update Using Schedule

In Valigara, you can automate updating product stock by scheduling products updates from FTP/SFTP feed file.

Step 1: Create a template

• Prepare the template spreadsheet with all of the relevant information that need to be updated in the system. 
• Catalog Code (SKU) is the only mandatory attribute to update products in Valigara.
• If you have multiple stock locations, create separate columns for each location. See example sheet:

Step 2: Create a product update format

• Open Catalog page. Go to "Products Import/Update" on the left hand side panel
• Go to the "Update" tab and under the "File" section click the Upload button to import template sheet
• Once uploaded, Select "New" format -> Complete mappings between the template sheet and the Valigara system fields. 
• Once done, click Save  . You now have your update format set up in Valigara.

Step 3: Set up a schedule

• Go to Channels and on the left hand panel, click Schedules. On the Schedules page, click "+" button and select "Import Schedule"
• Create a title for the import schedule and on the "Type" section select the format you created from previous step
• Enter the datasheet FTP/SFTP URL
  • Use any delimited file type (such as xls, xlsx, csv or txt)
  • Use http, https or ftp links
  • Use direct link to the file (not f.i. link to the folder with the file)
• If the host requires authentication: 
  • Check the "Basic access authentication" checkbox
  • Enter login, and password twice
• Define schedules options according to format type. For product update, see below format type: 
  • Update 
    • allows to enable "Overwrite images" option and "Advanced" mode to update multiple listings on multiple channels in bulk.
• Select one of existing Scheduling template or create custom schedule.
• Click "Save"
